Larger home remodeling projects (depending on the size and scope of the project) can take anywhere from 1 – 6 months. Here, we’ll talk about some factors that play a role in the length of your kitchen and bath remodeling process.
How Long Does a Kitchen Remodel Take?
The length of your kitchen remodel project depends on what you’re having remodeled. For example, if you’re just opting for cabinet refacing and nothing else, that process may take a few weeks at most. However, if you’re opting for a complete kitchen renovation, the project time increases significantly. While each kitchen remodel project is different, if you’re remodeling your whole kitchen, you can plan that it will take a few months from start to finish.
The kitchen remodel process generally begins with an idea or design. Once you’ve decided exactly how you want your kitchen to look (if you need design suggestions, we can help with that, too!), we then come in for a free in-home consultation to review the state of your current kitchen and your needs/wants. An entire kitchen renovation requires tons of planning, as it often includes electrical and plumbing to be moved around.
How Long Does a Bathroom Remodel Take?
Due to the size of bathrooms and the amount of electrical/plumbing work, bathroom remodels will often take a little less time than kitchen remodels. Again, the amount of time your bathroom remodel takes will vary based on the scope of your project. If you’re simply having your shower and tub area remodeled, it will take less time than if you were to complete an entire bathroom renovation. Oftentimes, you can plan on your bathroom remodel to take at least a month to complete.
