Tony Leopardi started Cornerstone Builders of Southwest FL in 1988. Never could he have imagined the legacy he would leave.

Knowing that he wanted his company's legacy to proceed him, Tony established a board of directors and carefully selected an experienced leadership team led by Bob Hahn as Chief Executive Officer. Bob brings 39 years of experience in the kitchen and bath remodeling industry, including 19 years under Tony's mentorship, where he learned to manage Cornerstone Tony’s way. Tony once said, “Ultimately it’s really God that runs this company, but it’s the employees that take care of it and take care of our customers”

It was always Tony’s desire for Cornerstone to be used to serve Southwest Florida and beyond. He built orphanages, churches, established homes for those overcoming substance abuse, and so much more. He generously served his community, friends, family, and strangers.

Tony’s desire was for everyone to know Jesus as he knew him. As a young man he struggled with the truth of who Jesus was. Was Jesus truly God?  After reading the book, More Than a Carpenter, Tony came to understand that Jesus truly was God, sent to earth to live a perfect life, died on the cross, and rose again conquering sin and death forever. Because of the work of Jesus Christ on the cross, you too can be forgiven and live forever in heaven. Tony built his life, his family, and his business on this truth – Jesus Christ is the “chief Cornerstone” (Ephesians 2:20)

On August 14, 2024 Tony went home to be with the Lord. He spent a lifetime seeking to WOW his customers, family and friends. As he entered into heaven and into the presence of Jesus, it was finally HIS turn to be "wowed."

Cornerstone will remain a family-owned company. His children, alongside the leadership team and employees will continue to uphold Tony’s legacy, united in their commitment to his values of unwavering dedication to the community, joyful generosity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
